A few weeks ago I broke a beloved sugar bowl. Sadness turned to excitement when I realized I could think of a new way to use the bottom of the sugar bowl since only the top was broken.
So after a brief stay in the closet of abandoned goods, the sugar bowl became a small planter. I went to Lowe’s and bought a little African Violet and just stuffed her in the old sugar bowl. I chose this plant because I knew I could get away with only watering it minimally – since this new planter would not have any drain for excess water.
